BECOMING A PEOPLE OF PRAYER
In that day, “I will restore David’s fallen shelter—I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins—and will rebuild it as it used to be…”
- Amos 9:11
During his 33 year reign as Israel’s King, David had a tent of unceasing prayer at the very center of of Jerusalem. The prophet Amos promises a day coming when David’s tent will be restored. Inspired by this vision, we as a church are committed to putting prayer at the center of everything. Everything else flows from communion with God in prayer.
You are invited to join our Daily Prayer Rhythm, comprised of three daily prayers which may be observed in as short as 30 seconds or as long as an hour. This rhythm of prayer is modeled after the historic practices of Jesus and the Early Church. To begin receiving alerts for our Daily Prayer Rhythm, sign up below.
Additionally, we gather across New York City in Prayer Hubs on Wednesday mornings. Our lives are not ordered by the common rhythm of the city but by the radical rhythm of Jesus. To join a weekly Prayer Hub, find times and locations below.
As for me, I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning and noon. I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.
- Psalm 55:16-17
Prayer Hubs are TGC Williamsburg’s communal gatherings of prayer. They all happen during the hours between 6 - 9 a.m. on Wednesday mornings, in various locations throughout New York City.
