The Bowery Mission, one of our Justice and Mercy Partners, is one of NYC's oldest homeless shelters. They provide three free meals a day, and prior to each meal, they put on a service in their historic chapel, run by different churches from across the city. . TGC Williamsburg leads a morning worship service from 7-8 a.m. every first Saturday of the month. During the service, we worship alongside this community, pray for, and get to know the people who attend. . And he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." Exodus 3:4-6 . Last month, we turned a nursery/office space into our Prayer Room. We covered the walls with craft paper, we played music, we laid down rugs. It looked different and felt different, and when you came in, we reminded you that this place was Holy Ground. But it had nothing to do with the craft paper, or the music or the rugs. It had to do with the fact that the Lord of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was meeting you there. . This month, we are continuing to be a be a people of prayer by joining other churches around the world in 24/7 prayer during Lent. This time it is not about coming to a place to pray, but praying in your places. . So where is your Holy Ground? Is it walking across a bridge to work, or is it the chair you sit in every morning with your coffee? We want to see them! Email your pictures of your everyday life that you are turning into Holy Ground by meeting there with God, or tag us in the picture. . #formativeencounter #holyground
Prayer Ministry at Trinity Grace Williamsburg is open to everyone and is for everyone. It is an invitation to hear the voice of God on behalf of others to strengthen and encourage them. Our vision for this church is that everyone be equipped and empowered to both pray for others and receive prayer. The places we practice this are Sundays, Prayer Hour and Dwell. . This Saturday, we will have Prayer Ministry Training from 10:30-2:00 p.m. You are encouraged to come if you have never been before or to come again if you have already attended. . We will explore the theological foundation of prophecy and prayer, and then put it into practice. We believe in prophetic (or listening) prayer, and this will be a space to demystify what that means and pursue the presence of our Father. . God longs to spend time with us, so we will prioritize seeking His presence and pursuing intimacy with Him in an evening of free-form worship and intercession for each other and our neighborhood. . This night marks the close of our 335 hours of prayer in our Prayer Room, so if you have spent an hour there-or have wanted to-please spend this night with us, praising the Lord who hears us.
